How It Works
NZ Imports - Your NZ Partner for Global Sourcing.
Built for projects. Simple for everyone.
NZ Imports operates a flexible sourcing and supply model designed to support large construction projects, trade customers, and online buyers. Whether sourcing at scale or purchasing individual products, our process is built around quality, compliance, and cost certainty.
Tell Us What You Need
For trade and project customers, we start by understanding your requirements, product type, specifications, volumes, timelines, and any compliance considerations.
For DIY and retail customers, selected products are available to purchase directly online, with clear specifications, availability, and delivery options.
Factory Selection & Pricing
For bulk and project orders, we source directly from vetted international manufacturers that meet our quality and compliance standards. Pricing is structured around commercial volumes (MOQs), allowing us to reduce unit costs and deliver better value through scale.
Online products are sourced through the same audited supply chain, ensuring consistent quality regardless of order size.
Compliance & Quality Control
All products are assessed for suitability in the New Zealand market. Where required, we coordinate testing, documentation, and compliance alignment with relevant NZ standards.
Our focus is simple: products that perform as expected once installed, with risk and uncertainty removed from the supply process.
Payment
For bulk and project orders, payment is split to keep production moving while protecting timelines:
50% deposit is required before manufacturing begins
50% balance is required before factory dispatch
For online purchases, payment is completed at checkout at the time of order.
This structure helps secure production slots, confirm materials, and keep freight scheduling on track.
Logistics & Delivery
We manage freight, customs clearance, and delivery into New Zealand through a single, coordinated supply chain.
Bulk orders can be delivered to site, warehouse, or distribution point
Online orders are shipped directly to the customer or nominated address
End-to-end control reduces delays, errors, and cost uncertainty.
Ongoing Supply & Support
For builders, developers, and suppliers, NZ Imports supports repeat orders, staged deliveries, and long-term supply arrangements.
For online customers, our team is available to assist with product information, availability, and after-sales support.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about sourcing, compliance, lead times, and delivery.
Lead times vary depending on the product type, specifications, and order volume. As a guide, most orders allow 60–90 days for manufacturing, followed by around 21 days for ocean freight and delivery into New Zealand. We confirm estimated timelines upfront once product scope and quantities are locked in.
Yes. We’ll first provide product images, specifications, compliance documentation (where applicable), and pricing so you can shortlist the right options. Once a product is selected, we can arrange samples to be ordered and delivered to you.
To keep the process commercial and efficient, samples are provided subject to customer assessment (we don’t supply samples for free product requests). Sample freight may be charged depending on the size, weight, and quantity required.
NZ Imports acts as a sourcing and import partner. We manage supplier vetting, quality checks, compliance coordination, and logistics, and we stand behind that process. Product warranties are typically provided by the manufacturer and may vary by product category and specification.
If there is an issue with a product supplied through NZ Imports, we handle it in a clear, practical way:
Notify us promptly with photos and a brief description of the issue (and keep the item available for inspection).
We will assess the issue with the supplier/factory and confirm the most appropriate remedy.
Where a product is confirmed as faulty or non-conforming within the shipment, we will work to provide a replacement or like-for-like equivalent at no charge for the product itself, or offer an agreed credit where replacement is not practical.
To protect both parties and keep pricing sharp, remedies are generally limited to the product supply remedy (replacement/like-for-like/credit). NZ Imports is not responsible for third-party costs such as installation labour, removal/re-installation, project delays, or consequential losses, unless required by applicable New Zealand law.
