M16 the Eagle nebula  ( M16 or NGC 6611) is a young open cluster of stars in the constellation Serpens. The Eagle Nebula is part of a diffuse emission nebula, or H II region, which is catalogued as IC 4703. This region of active star formation is about 6,500 LY away.

 Taken on a home moded Canon20d thru a 152mm f8 four element " INTANE OPTICS" Super APO refractor.

Takahashi NJP Temma II mount and The Sky Six Pro. Autoguider is DSI Pro and Mitsuboshi Off Axis Guider thanks to PHD and Shoe String Astro.

6 x 10 minute exposures of Ha used as luminecence (grey scale) and 6x10 minute exposures using LP filter (std colour) both at 800ASA.
