The LMC (Large Magellanic Cloud) is a nearby galaxy, once thought to be a satellite of our own. At a distance of slightly less than 160,000 light-years, the LMC is the third closest galaxy to our own Milky Way Galaxy.

Taken thru a  CENTRAL DSLR Canon 40d thru a 300mm f2.8 Mamiya APO lens piggy backed on a 152mm f8 1200mm refractor.

Takahashi NJP Temma II mount and The Sky Six Pro. Autoguider is DSI Pro and Mitsuboshi Off Axis Guider thanks to PHD and Shoe String Astro.

No filters apart from LP  filter. 13 x 3 minute exposures at 800ASA.
